Marriage Conference Information

The partnership between Reading City Church (RCC) and Clinical & Community Counseling Services will host a free marriage conference on Saturday, May 6. The conference, entitled “Expectations vs. Reality” will be held at RCC’s St. James Parish in West Reading. It begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and will run till 1:00 p.m. Participants will be given tools to address core issues in their marriage.

RCC Pastor Vince Donnachie said, “We believe this conference will strengthen marriages; and stronger marriages means stronger communities.”

Speakers will include Benjamin S. Dodd, M.A., NCP, LPC and his wife Marci Dodd. Ben is a licensed professional counselor who has been in private practice for over 14 years as sole-proprietor of C&CCS. He and his wife have been married for almost 20 years and lead Petra Church’s marriage team, where they attend. He is also the Director of the Counseling Department at Petra Church in New Holland. Marci has a B.A. in communications and is a trained prayer minister.

Also speaking will be Dan Jensen, M.A. He earned his masters in professional counseling from Lancaster Bible with a focus in marriage and family. He is an independent contractor with C&CCS working out of the West Reading office. Jensen’s professional focus is working with youth, pre-marital and newly married couples.
